Welcome to Teleboy Internet! We provide you with a preconfigured WLAN router free of charge on loan. We will show you how to set it up step by step in a short guide. Simply choose between fiber and DSL.

Frequently asked questions about the setup

How do I see if I have DSL or fiber optics?

During the order process you will be informed about the technology you are using. Alternatively, you can find the information on the order confirmation or in your user account. If you need help, simply contact the support team.

At what time is my Internet connection activated?

The Internet connection is switched on between 00:00 and 17:00 on the day of activation. For technical reasons, it is not possible to give an exact time. However, this usually happens until 12:00 noon. If the connection does not work until 5 pm, please contact the support.

The Internet is not working, what can I do?

After you have followed the step-by-step instructions, please make sure that all plugs and cables are properly engaged. If this is the case, plug everything in and out again. For fiber optic cables you should also check if you have removed the small protective cap from the fiber optic cable. If all this does not help, please contact our support.

How do I set up landlines and TV?

For landlines, the same applies as for the Internet. Plug the phone into the router, wait a moment and you are ready to make a call. With TV it is individual. Set up or switch on the streaming device of your choice (e.g. Apple TV, Samsung TV, Android TV etc.), download the app from the respective App Store and log in with Teleboy's user data.

When and how do I get the first invoice?

The invoice will arrive about two weeks after the end of the month. It comes as a standard PDF via e-mail. Alternatively, you can also view and download the invoice in your profile. With eBill, the invoice is sent directly to your e-banking account.

Where do I find the WLAN password?

The WLAN password (WPA2) and also the WLAN name (SSID) can be found either on the bottom of the router or on the router packaging. Note: Please do not remove, stick over or paint over the sticker.

How do I receive the best possible WLAN signal?

Make sure that you place the WLAN router - if possible - somewhere central and do not hide it in a cupboard or similar. This can weaken the WLAN signal. If you have a larger apartment or house, it is worth using so-called WLAN repeaters, which amplify the WLAN. Our support will be happy to help you if you have any questions.

Do I have to configure anything on the WLAN router?

No, not in principle. The Internet or WLAN router has already been preconfigured for you. You do not need to log on to the router or change anything. You only need to connect to the router if, for example, you want to change the WLAN name or something else.

Do I have to keep the packaging of the WLAN router?

Yes, we'd be glad. The WLAN router is provided by us on loan. At the end of the customer relationship, it will be recycled and reused if necessary. A measure for environmental reasons.
