Documentary following the work of medical teams in University Hospital Coventry's trauma unit as they try to save the lives of people injured in traffic collisions. In the first edition, emergency services and helicopter medics perform lifesaving CPR on a 76-year-old man in cardiac arrest before rushing him to the Critical Care Unit. Twenty-eight-year-old Jade was out walking with her sister when she was struck by a car travelling at around 30 miles per hour, and her resultant head injury leaves doctors fighting for answers.
