Comedians Joe Wilkinson and Katherine Ryan sample a low-cost family beach holiday at the Bulgarian resort of Sozopol. In a desperate attempt to make Katherine smile, Joe volunteers to do some nerve-wracking water sports, as she watches on in delight. Together, they gallivant around the medieval town of Sozopol, dine in old windmills, take a trip on a pirate ship and relax in the spa. They end the trip in the town of Varna, where they get into a sticky mess at a sweet-making workshop, before wrapping up their trip at the beach.
