Adam divides his life between the working-class high-rise where his mother Nina lives, and the middle-class enclave where his dad Louis resides with his new family. But when his mum's mental health takes a turn for the worse, Adam is faced with a dilemma. Will his dad and step-mum Dawn allow Adam to bring his half-brother Kyran into their family home? Meanwhile, Adam confronts Jessica for ghosting him and discovers that she made negative assumptions about Kyran's identity. Adam's world is thrown into disarray when Jessica is rushed to hospital during his dad's birthday party - and Kelly seems to know the reason why.
