Inspector Herchy comes across a litter of German Shepherd puppies covered in their own mess and eating raw meat off a filthy floor, a man who is about to be made homeless puts his dog's needs before his own, and Inspector Lauren finds a Jack Russell called Poppy who has lost so much of her coat that it hurts to sit down.
