Vor einiger Zeit habe ich mir in einem anderen Teleboy Magazin-Artikel angeschaut, wie es in der Schweiz eigentlich um die 5G-Abdeckung<\/a> steht. W\u00e4hrend auch heute noch \u00fcber den Ausbau der schnellen Mobilfunktechnologie diskutiert wird, ist l\u00e4ngst klar: Die n\u00e4chste steht eigentlich schon in den Startl\u00f6chern. Oder zumindest sind die Visionen schon ziemlich konkret. Dass Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Politik schon heute \u00fcber die Einsatzm\u00f6glichkeiten von 6G philosophieren, erstaunt deshalb nicht. Ob wir schon bald einen neuen Mobilfunk-Standard einf\u00fchren werden oder ob wir noch weit davon entfernt sind, habe ich mal f\u00fcr Dich recherchiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neue Dimension: 6G bis zu 1’000-mal schneller als 5G<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Zu Beginn gleich mal ein Spoiler: Dein 5G-f\u00e4higes Smartphone wirst Du erstmal noch ein Weilchen nutzen k\u00f6nnen. Denn in naher Zukunft werden wir noch nicht mit 6G unterwegs sein \u2013 weder in der Schweiz noch sonst in der Welt. Dennoch erarbeiten Kommunikationstechnologieunternehmen und Branchenexpert:innen schon heute an Szenarien, wie die n\u00e4chste Mobilfunktechnologie nicht nur unseren Alltag ver\u00e4ndern, sondern das Gesundheits- und Verkehrswesen oder auch die Industrie revolutionieren wird. Um 6G in Zahlen auszudr\u00fccken: Die n\u00e4chste Generation des Mobilfunks soll ganze 1’000-mal schneller sein als 5G. Ein Download eines zweist\u00fcndigen Blockbusters wird eine Frage von wenigen Sekunden sein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6G-Technologie: Schub f\u00fcr autonome Mobilit\u00e4t<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Zugegeben: So ein ultraschneller Film-Download ver\u00e4ndert unseren Alltag wahrscheinlich noch nicht. Anders sieht das allerdings im Verkehrswesen aus. Denn neben Geschwindigkeit sind auch die Kapazit\u00e4ten mit 6G nochmal wesentlich h\u00f6her. So k\u00f6nnen immense Mengen an Daten empfangen und versendet werden. Das ist f\u00fcr die autonome Mobilit\u00e4t zentral. Sie ist auf Stabilit\u00e4t und eine extrem geringe Latenzzeit \u2013 also Reaktionszeit auf ein Ereignis \u2013 angewiesen. Selbstfahrende Busse oder Bahnen sind mit dem Mobilfunk verbunden und m\u00fcssen unter jeglichen Umst\u00e4nden ihre Passagiere sicher ans Ziel bef\u00f6rdern k\u00f6nnen. F\u00e4llt ein Gegenstand auf die Fahrbahn, muss das Fahrzeug sofort ausweichen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apropos Mobilit\u00e4t: Die 6G-Technologie wird auch der digitalen Steuerung von Smart-Cities und damit der smarten Mobilit\u00e4t einen Auftrieb bescheren. Schon heute ist \u00fcblich, dass Google Deine Route neu berechnet, falls irgendwo ein Stau auftritt. Solche einzelnen Prozesse k\u00f6nnen nicht nur beschleunigt, sondern auch komplett vernetzt werden. Wenn der Verkehr in den grossen Ballungsgebieten dieser Welt ausschliesslich digital gesteuert wird, k\u00f6nnten Verkehrsprobleme, wie wir sie heute diskutieren, schon bald der Geschichte angeh\u00f6ren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neue Mobilfunktechnologie schon in 10 Jahren?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eine Revolution mit der digitalen Transformation und damit auch mit 6G erhoffen sich ebenso Einrichtungen im Gesundheitswesen. In der stark vom Fachkr\u00e4ftemangel betroffenen Branche ist die Digitalisierung dringend notwendig. Die Zukunft liegt beispielsweise in mit zentralen Systemen vernetzten Wearables und KI-Unterst\u00fctzung bei der Behandlung, Pflege und \u00dcberwachung von Patient:innen. Und das in Echtzeit. Selbst die abgelegensten Orte sollen von zentralen Stellen erreicht werden. Schliesslich wird die Industrie stark von 6G profitieren. Die Kommunikationswege zwischen Maschine und Mensch und Maschine und Maschine werden noch flexibler und effizienter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber wann wird denn 6G \u00fcberhaupt Realit\u00e4t? Der Branchenverband der deutschen Informations- und Telekommunikationsbranche Bitkom<\/a> erwartet die n\u00e4chste Mobilfunkgeneration in den fr\u00fchen 2030er-Jahren. Der Verband geht auch davon aus, dass mit \u00ab5G Advanced\u00bb schrittweise mehr Leistung m\u00f6glich wird, bevor 6G tats\u00e4chlich kommt. Bis wir mit unserem Smartphone in 6G-Geschwindigkeit unterwegs sein werden, dauert es also noch ein Weilchen.
